Monday!!!

What did you do to prep this week? A weekly post about the various things I do to help myself and my family/friends become better prepared.

I didn’t really post last week because I had a Paramedic Exam. First one in my class! I actually passed and was pretty pleased with the results.

I’ve ordered a pistol magazine pouch to go on my chest carrier. I use a Condor carrier for magazines. This one is slimline so the pistol mag pouch will be tight in as well. This is just another step to completing my “SHTF Loadout”… Look for an article on that in the future.

Ordered book #3 of the “Mouths to Feed series. Getting pretty excited! The second book in the series dropped off at an AWESOME cliffhanger.

We narrowed down our possessions again. My wife and I took even more to donation, trash, and storage. We also reorganized our storage locker to make it faster and easier to grab our gear.

I rebuilt our BOBs and have plans to add a hammock and tarp setup to them. This is based entirely on weight and size. I can pack a 400# capable tarp into a softball. It’s also a faster setup if prearranged to a complete shelter versus anything ground-based such as a tent.

So how about you?

  • Just wanted to let you know the images haven’t shown up.

Not too bad. Thinking about ordering a water filtration straw and potassium iodide. Keep an eye out for rocket man!

Where’s the mental preparedness topics? Some people out there aren’t mentally prepared for what may happen. Mental preparedness is more important than physical preparedness in most cases, especially for the people who can’t live without a cell phone.

    • I have lots of things to write about but I want to make sure my research is done right. Especially when it comes to mental preparedness and health.
Btw… If images don’t show, reload the web page and enable your cookies.

If you do a filter, Sawyer in my opinion is the best on the market. It’s also the only one I recommend.
