My personal politics…

I get asked a lot about my personal politics. If you follow me in some of the Prepper Groups I admin then you’ll know that politics there is off limits as we try to make those environments open to anyone and everyone that is willing to put a little bit back to become more ready for anything that could happen. We figure that one of the best ways we can prepare is by helping others become prepared as well. The idea is that if you have food, you won’t want to come get mine. Makes sense?

So anyways… I don’t really look at myself much as a Republican or a Democrat. I’m what I like to call a Conservative Libertarian. ┬áSo what does that mean? Here is a screen shot I took from Urban Dictionary┬áthat basically defines how I think politically:

Taken from Urban Dictionary

So basically, I want a strong military, small government, and the Liberty to do anything I want. But, I want you to have those same Liberties. I also want strong borders, and basically, think that most taxes shouldn’t exist. Welfare programs should be downsized greatly as well. I think you should have the 2A right’s, without the permits and Feds checking in on you, while at the same time having Free Speech. Well, what about religion you may ask… Basically, I think you have the right to practice your religion as you see fit, in any manner you see fit, as long as it doesn’t endanger or harm any other people. I don’t care if you are Muslim, Christian, or Jew. I don’t care if you think cats are gods or if you put coins on people’s eyes when they die. Just don’t push it on me. You also have the right to NOT be religious. It’s a way of thinking that is in line more with how the Constitution of the US was written. I don’t see it as a living document, or something to just be referenced from time to time. I see it as the law of the land.

So that’s it in a nutshell. Conservative thinking applied to strong Constitution insured Freedom for any citizen of the USA. Does that help explain it? And no, I didn’t vote for Gary Johnson.

If I didn’t break a law then don’t bother me.
